INTERACTION: TEEN DOC workshop

Interaction: Teen Doc Workshop is a seven-day educational programme designed for motivated high school students, eager to acquire additional knowledge on creative documentary filmmaking, to expand their creative skills, as well as to engage with the young talents from other countries.

When & Where?

From the 20th to the 27th of August 2024 in the city of Užice (Serbia).The workshop is preceded by several online meetings, held from May to July 2024.

Who can apply?

The workshop is meant for teenagers (ages 14-19) from Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Albania, and Serbia.

Why should I apply?

The workshop is not only a unique opportunity for the teens to widen their creative skills and to provide a possibility of meeting other young talents, but it is also a rare chance to explore new forms of creativity and expression through documentary film. 

The workshop aims to improve the cooperation of young people from the area while offering a unique chance to encourage the enhancement of critical thinking among the young talents and their mobility and intercultural dialogue.

Upon successfully completing the programme, participants will receive a certificate of participation. 

Both submission and participation in the Workshop are free of charge.

The workshop will be held in English.

Interaction: Teen Doc Workshop is organized along with Interaction: short docs festival, Interaction: Student Film Camp, which gathers students of international film academies, Interaction: Doc Workshop, designed for film professionals and IVA.lab programme, intended for visual artists.

We invite you to apply to meet a lot of young international filmmakers! Watch short documentaries, discuss and vote as members of the Youth Jury at the Interaction: Shot Docs Festival!  Broaden your knowledge about documentary filmmaking while collaborating on creating short documentaries, with young teenagers from neighbouring countries under the mentorship of acclaimed film professionals.
