INTERACTION XR – CO-CREATING FUTURE

Are you an emerging creator in documentary or animation who wants to expand the impact of your filmmaking beyond the latest technologies, and you are from Serbia, Georgia, Poland, Hungary, Estonia, North Macedonia, Montenegro or Bosnia and Herzegovina? Are you interested in XR/VR/AI and immersive storytelling?

Apply to participate in INTERACTION XR – CO-CREATING FUTURE Worldbuilding Workshop with fellow creators and learn how to create virtual worlds and produce immersive storytelling projects around your own creative projects!

Take part in immersive online workshops with established XR mentors in documentary and animation – Georgy Molodtsov (Film XR, Estonia), Barna Szász (Parallel Stories Cultural Association, Hungary), Dzmitry Sorkin (Feeling Digital, Poland) and experts from Interaction: Shot Docs Festival (Serbia) and Tofuzi International Animated Film Festival (Georgia).

What are the conditions of participation?

you should have experience in filmmaking (documentary or animation) and be able to take part in a series of online workshops using the virtual worldbuilding platform,
you should be able to create a virtual world in the framework of the Workshop (August 2024 – January 2025),
you should be aged between 13 to 21,
you should be from Serbia, Georgia, Poland, Hungary, Estonia, North Macedonia, Montenegro or Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Our goal is to help you to understand how to transfer the ideas and visions from your screen format to a virtual 3D space, as well as to learn AI, AR, VR, 3D, photogrammetry, gaussian splatting tools to help you to expand the scale of your existing projects into the new frontiers of technology.

How to apply?

To apply for participation at the INTERACTION XR – CO-CREATING FUTURE Worldbuilding Workshop you need to complete and submit the online application form, which you can find HERE

Both submission and participation in the Workshop are free of charge.

Selection process

After the submission deadline, our Selection Committee will consider all received applications and select the candidates. Selected candidates will be notified by the end of March 2024.

Interaction XR – Co-creating Future (Interaction Festival & TOFUZI Festival) is a project run by IFC Filmart which contributes to the intercultural dialogue between youth living in the V4 countries (Poland, Hungary), EaP countries (Georgia), Western Balkans region (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia) and Estonia through XR. The project establishes and fostering cooperation among different regions through common cultural activities in VR worlds and also contributes to audience development internationally.

The project is co-financed by the governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from the International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
