The competition programme features 15 distinguished short creative documentaries. The Artistic Director of the Festival, supported by a programme advisor, selects films for the competition programme. The Festival hands out several awards to films from the competition programme: the Best Film Award, The Audience Award and the Youth Jury Award.
An out of competition programme tends to cover the body of work of contemporary documentary production, along with cult classics, outstanding short documentaries of a certain region, an author, a festival and the like.
An out of competition program consisting of thoroughly selected short documentaries made by Camp and Workshop participants, whose quality and various approaches provide insight in the abundant, contemporary, world-wide production.
