Jovana Berar was born in 1996, in Zrenjanin, Serbia. Since 2019, she has begun studying cinematography at the Department of Dramatic Arts of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, where she is currently in her final year of studies. During the first two years of her studies, she worked as a cinematographer on several short films. In 2021, she applied for the Erasmus + program and embarked on a two-semester exchange to the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb, Croatia. While participating in the Erasmus program, she actively contributed as a cinematographer to several short documentary films. Additionally, as part of the main subject of her studies, she directed and shot a documentary film called ” From Today Until Tomorrow “. Besides filming, she is involved in photography.
