CAMP 2024 – MENTOR

Efim Graboy was born in 1989 in Kazan, Russia. His family immigrated to Israel when he was 10 years old. Steve Tisch School of Film & Television, Tel Aviv University alumnus.

His short films won many awards at international film festivals and are exhibited in contemporary art museums. In 2019 his film “Valley of the Rulers” was nominated for International Documentary Association Best Short Film award.

In 2020 “The War of Raya Sinitsina” had great success as Efim’s debut feature film, winning nine international awards in total, including Best Directing and Cinematography at DocAviv.

The film also received prizes from the Israeli Documentary Association as Best Debut Film and for Best Cinematographer and a Special Prize For High Artistic Achievements in the Documentary from the Russian Documentary Film and Television Guild.

His second feature film, “Lies I Told Myself”, premiered at DocAviv 2023 International Film Festival, where it received awards for Best Directing and Best Editing. Efim’s cinematic approach includes elements of therapy through cinema.

Later on, this element became a matter of investigation for him and since 2020 he has been guiding video therapy group sessions, based on a method he developed.

Since 2021, Efim has lived and created in both Israel and Serbia.

He has been engaged as the Interaction Camp mentor since 2019.
