INTERACTION: DOCUCONNECT BALKANS 2026 – OPEN CALL FOR PARTICIPATION!

Interaction: DocuConnect Balkans is a five-day programme for emerging filmmakers from the Western Balkans who are looking to develop their creative documentary projects with the support of experienced film professionals. The mentoring team brings together experienced filmmakers and producers from across the Western Balkans: Kumjana Novakova and Ilija Tiricovski from North Macedonia, Zoran Galić and Nevena Milašinović from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iris Elezi from Albania, and Iva Plemić Divjak and Ivan Marković from Serbia. Lectures will be delivered by Rada Šešić, Corina Schwingruber Ilić, and Wouter Jansen.

The programme will take place from 21 to 25 August 2026 in Požega, Serbia.

Director–producer teams from the Western Balkans may apply with a short or feature-length creative documentary project at the development, production, or rough-cut stage.

Participation in the programme is free of charge. Application deadline: 27 July 2026

Applicants will be notified of the selection results by early August 2026.
