Filmmaker and visual artist born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. His documentary “Centar” premiered at Doclisboa in 2018 and was screened at numerous festivals and awarded at Beldocs, Dokufest and Arkipel. Together with Linfeng Wu, he co-directed the short film “White Bird” (Berlinale 2016) and the feature “From Tomorrow On, I Will”, which premiered at Berlinale Forum in 2019. The film received the Grand Prize at the Jeonju IFF and was screened at festivals including Viennale, Belfort, New Horizons, and Mar del Plata.
His documentary short “Inventory” premiered at Cinéma du Réel in 2025 and was screened at festivals including Doclisboa and DMZ Docs. His latest feature “Promised Spaces” premiered in the ACID section of the Cannes Film Festival in 2026. As a cinematographer, he collaborated with directors including Dane Komljen, Marta Popivoda, Angela Schanelec and Ivan Salatić, on films shown in Berlinale, Venice, Locarno, and Rotterdam. His photography, film, and video works have been exhibited at institutions including the Bethanien Berlin, ICA London, Baerum Kunsthall Oslo, Museum of Contemporary Art Belgrade, and SaSa Art in Phnom Penh. Since 2020, he has been a member of the European Film Academy. He lives and works in Berlin.
