AWARDS AND JURY

Awards

The festival hands out several awards to the films from the competition programme.

Best Film Award – This award is given to the best film from the competition programme, and awarded by a three-member international jury. The award will be given to the film’s director(s) and, apart from the statute designed by the renowned author Marko Crnobrnja, includes a cash award sponsored by Sirogojno Company, a festival partner.

Special Mention – The Jury, at its discretion, also has the option of handing out Special Mention to only one film. 

Youth Jury Award – A youth jury, consisting of Interaction: Teen Doc Workshop participants, will decide on the winner of this award. The award will be given to the film’s director, and it includes a cash award.

Audience Award – The audience rates all the films from the competition and interscreen programme and the highest-rated one will receive the Audience Award.

The jury’s statement: The jury has chosen to highlight a film that speaks about the time we live in with subtlety and unexpected insight. The film moved us with its belief in the power and expressiveness that emerges when images are fused with our personal emotions and perception of the world.

Youth Jury Award

The jury’s statement: Through animated images and archival photographs, the film conveys a deep connection and enduring love. It portrays a love story between a soldier on the front lines and a woman living in a village.
