
Interaction Doc Workshop for 28 Participants Within This Year’s Interaction
Participants will have the opportunity to attend lectures by experts Rada Šešić and Chris Filippone.
Since 2011, the Interaction Doc Workshop has been an integral part of Interaction, intended for film professionals, film academy students, and all those who want to improve their knowledge and skills in the field of creative documentary film or develop their documentary projects with our tutors. From August 20 to 27, 2024, workshop participants will explore various aspects of creative documentary film with our experts this year.
28 participants from 20 countries have been selected to participate in this year’s workshop.
The lecturers at this year’s workshop are renowned experts in the field of documentary film – Rada Šešić, a programmer of numerous festivals, lecturer, and award-winning documentary filmmaker, selector of the documentary film competition program at the Sarajevo Film Festival, and Chris Filippone, a documentary filmmaker who graduated in documentary film and video studies from Stanford University (USA) and is currently a visiting assistant professor at the University of Iowa (USA).
Five workshop participants, whose projects were selected for Doc in Progress, will develop their projects through individual and group consultations with tutors.
In addition to Rada Šešić and Chris Filippone, this year’s tutors also include Iva Plemić Divjak, producer and president of the Board of the Association of Documentary Filmmakers of Serbia – DokSerbia, Wouter Jansen, founder of the festival distribution and sales company Square Eyes, and Jamie Meltzer, a documentary filmmaker from the USA.
