XR Interaction

XR INTERACTION WITHOUT LIMITS

XR Interaction Without Limits is an innovative international project that utilizes Extended Reality (XR) to connect young people from the Western Balkans, foster intercultural dialogue and inclusivity, and enable young filmmakers to explore new creative possibilities in cinema through VR/XR technology. Through a series of carefully designed activities, participants from the region have the opportunity to meet, collaborate, and develop their skills in online XR and film workshops. The project will also feature XR exhibitions and public lectures on the potential of VR technology to improve the lives of people with disabilities. Youth mobility and regional cooperation will be encouraged through participation in the Giffoni Macedonia Festival, while peer-to-peer learning will enable partner festival teams to exchange knowledge on organizing XR exhibitions and inclusive film festivals.

Exhibition XR Interaction Without Limits

20 – 25 August 2025
Art Gallery Požega
Curator: Georgy Molodstov

A decade after VR headsets exploded onto the cultural radar, one fact is indisputable: XR is no longer a mirror of reality – it is a lens that refracts, amplifies, and, when necessary, shatters it. This exhibition asks you to put that lens to work on an overlooked frontier: the lived experiences of people with disabilities.
Each piece on view marries hardwon technical innovation – realtime spatial audio, handtracking, volumetric capture – with an equally rigorous excavation of interior worlds. These works refuse the clinical gaze; they do not invite us to observe disability, but to inhabit it. Perspective shifts from voyeuristic curiosity to firstperson embodiment, forcing questions of agency, empathy, and design that traditional media politely sidestep.
Our protagonists are not case studies; they are coauthors. They offer no tidy resolutions, only uncompromising vantage points from which to reconsider how bodies, tools, and spaces negotiate power.

Our protagonists open themselves to you and their stories to inspire and to see the world the way we rarely try to understand. So we invite you to this extended journey without limits. (Georgy Molodtsov)
