TEEN DOC workshop

Interaction Teen Doc Workshop is a seven-day educational program intended for teenagers aged 14 to 18 from Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Croatia, Albania, and Serbia, who want to learn more about creative documentary film and media literacy, develop their own creativity, and collaborate with peers from the region.

This year’s edition will be held from 19 to 25 August in Požega (Serbia).

During the Workshop, participants will gain knowledge and skills in creative documentary filmmaking in an engaging and hands-on way. Through teamwork and with the support of mentors and consultants, they will produce four short documentaries, going through the entire process – from the initial idea to the final version of the film.

Before meeting in person, participants will have the opportunity to get to know each other and acquire basic media literacy skills through two online sessions held in July and August. Additionally, participants of the Teen Doc Workshop will take on the role of the Youth Jury of the Interaction Festival, which takes place simultaneously with the Workshop.

This year’s Workshop will be led by prominent film professionals from Serbia and the region – Luka Papić (director), Darko Bašeski (cinematographer and producer), Ikonija Jeftić (producer), and Dejan Petrović (director), along with peer educators Matija Štifanić (student cinamtography) and Srđa Čvorović (directing student).

Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate of attendance.

The working language of the Workshop is English.

The Teen Doc Workshop is organized simultaneously with several other Interaction programmes – the Short Documentary Film Festival, the Student Film Camp, the Documentary Film Workshop, the Meet2Talk programme, and Interaction XR.

Both submission and participation in the workshop are free of charge, with the exception of travel expenses, which participants are expected to cover themselves.

The Interaction Teen Doc Workshop 2025 is organised by IFC Filmart, and with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Youth of the Republic of Serbia.
