World Premiere of Documentary from Interaction at Beldocs

The short documentary „When I Grow Up Again,” filmed as part of Interaction: student film camp, directed by Jovana Avramović, will have its world premiere in the competitive programme of the 17th edition of Beldocs (as part of the Serbian competition programme). The film’s premiere is scheduled for May 25, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. at the Belgrade Youth Center.

„When I Grow Up Again” is a story about the search for lost childhood innocence. Nearly a decade after leaving her hometown, a young director returns home to examine the underlying feeling of emptiness that has been constantly present within her. Immersing between reality and memories, When I Grow Up Again is an intimate journey of reconciliation with her inner self through the past and present.

The film was produced by the Independent film center Filmart during Interaction:student film camp in 2022 in Požega. In addition to director Jovana Avramović, students from film schools around the world worked on the film: Luis Armando Sosa Gil (Mexico) – cinematographer, Guillermina Gala (Argentina) – editor, Matt Part (United Kingdom) – cinematographer and sound designer, and Katniss Chu Cheng (Hong Kong) – production manager. The local production coordinator was Filip Stokić from Požega.
