Veronica Wood is a filmmaker and journalist whose work spans five continents, often centering Indigenous worldviews and the intimacy of untold stories. Raised between cultures and rooted in investigative storytelling, she blends vérité filmmaking with a poetic visual edge. 

Her recent work includes a docu-portrait of 100 community members commissioned by the Getty in Los Angeles, and a PBS-streaming docuseries on intertribal identity. With over a decade of experience in film production across London, Sydney, Los Angeles, and currently Amsterdam, she brings a grounded, international perspective to her work – as both a director and sometimes a cinematographer. Her work has screened at festivals SXSW, and DocNYC, and she has been a fellow at several fellowships such as IDFA Academy, TIFFxBGDM, and BendFilm. As a journalist she has also been selected for the LMA Google News fellowship, and had stories featured across various channels, including several award recognitions such as the ‘global affairs’ award from California State. 

With roots in community media and international co-productions, she brings a bold, thoughtful lens to stories. 

In her free time, she is an animal lover, and has given homes to frogs, newts, dogs, cats and rabbits.
