This presentation is tailored for young filmmakers and explores how film festivals can serve as crucial springboards for launching successful careers. The session will delve into the multifaceted role that film festivals play in the journey of a filmmaker, from initial exposure to industry networking, and the opportunities they provide, to broadening the scope of their offerings and activities.

Our expert speaker will share her insights on how to effectively utilise short film festivals and their platforms to gain visibility and recognition, emphasising the importance of selecting the right festivals for your work. Learn strategies for submitting your short films and make the most of festival screenings, events and other participation.

The speaker will also present the various projects of her own short film festival in order to provide a better insight into the work of festivals and to introduce the numerous presentation and participation possibilities that are offered. This session is an opportunity for emerging filmmakers to understand the potential of film festivals in shaping their professional paths, providing them with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the festival circuit effectively.
