Suelen Menezes is a filmmaker and graduate of the Federal Fluminense University in Brazil. Currently, she is enrolled in an International Master’s degree in Cinematography at Kino-Eye Movie Master, supported by an Erasmus+ scholarship from the European Union and FilmEU, with studies based in Tallinn and Lisbon.

Since 2011, she has worked as a camera assistant on approximately fifty national and international feature films, documentaries, and series for platforms including HBO, Netflix, Amazon, and Globoplay (Brazil). She returned to academic studies in 2024, upon acceptance to the Kinoeyes European Movie Master’s program, seeking further exploration and exchange in the field.

As a director, she authored the short film ‘Liz,’ which was funded by the Aldir Blanc Law in 2021, Brazil. ‘Liz’ was a finalist at the World Film Carnival Singapore (WFCS 2021) and a semi-finalist at the Vancouver Independent Film Festival 2021.
