Sara Brusciano is an Italian cinematographer who lived, studied and worked in different countries of Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean.

She graduated in socio-cultural anthropology at Sapienza (University of Rome, 2013), specialized in visual anthropology at the University of Barcelona (UB, 2014) and was selected at the EICTV (Cuba) in 2017, graduating as Director of Photography in 2020.

She currently lives in Italy where she works on several national and international film projects. She was selected as director of photography in the 4th edition of the Castello Errante Film Residency (Italy, 2020), and as Talent 2023 at the International Guadalajara Film Festival. 

She recently directed the photography of the short films “What If I” (Italy, 2023); “L’Ora Alternativa” (Italy, 2023); “El susurro de las hojas – The whisper of the leaves” (Cuba, 2021), and the Quechua-language Andean fiction feature film “Érase una vez en los Andes” (Peru, 2023).
