Debashis Das is a versatile artist and filmmaker, born in Gazipur, Bangladesh. From a young age, he explored drama, recitation, debate, and music. His passion for storytelling led to the creation of short films during his time at Bangladesh Agricultural University.

His directorial debut, “Known,” won the “Zahir Raihan Best Short” award, motivating him to study filmmaking at the Bangladesh Cinema and Television Institute (BCTI). His works gained local and international recognition, leading to a government grant for a children’s film.

Debashis received the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship to pursue a Joint Master’s Degree in Documentary Filmmaking in Portugal, Hungary, and Belgium. Currently in his third semester in Brussels, he continues to explore film as a medium for narrative, imagery, and sound, excelling as a filmmaker, scriptwriter, editor, and cinematographer.
