Axel was born in Singapore and raised in Aubonne (VD), Switzerland, he studied at ECAL, École cantonale d’art de Lausanne, from 2017 to 2021, where he completed a Bachelor’s degree in Film with a focus on Film Editing.

From 2021 to 2024, he worked as a freelance assistant editor on various projects, including Swiss Shorts (FUTURA!, a 10-documentary collection), documentaries such as Dynamic Wisdom, Le Prix, There Was Nothing Here Before, and IMIHIGO, the feature film Les Paradis de Diane, and series like Off Season and Minor Offence.

Between 2022 and 2023, he was employed by RTS, Radio Télévision Suisse, as a Media Manager in the postproduction department of TV magazines including Temps Présent, Passe-moi les Jumelles, and 36.9°.

In 2023, he began his ongoing Master’s studies in Film Editing at ZHdK, Zürcher Hochschule der Künste. During his studies, he has edited short fiction films such as L’Antre and Das ist Meins, as well as medium-length documentaries like GALAXI URNÄSCH 3000 and Les Heures Etoilées, with Dans ces Eaux-là currently in editing. Since 2024, he has also worked as a freelance editor for RTS TV magazines.
