Luka Papić graduated in film directing from the HFBK Academy of Fine Arts in Hamburg, in the class of Angela Schanelec, in 2016.

His docu-fiction film Without (2022) won the Jury Award for Best Medium-Length Film at the Visions du Réel festival in Nyon, as well as several other awards, including the Grand Prix at the Beldocs festival in Belgrade.

The award-winning documentary Invoked (2022), which he co-directed with Srđa Vuča, premiered in the Envision competition program at IDFA in Amsterdam.
