FIFTEEN YOUNG PEOPLE FROM THE REGION JOIN THE TEEN DOC WORKSHOP

This year’s Interaction: Teen Doc Workshop begins today with an online lecture by Ikonija Jeftić, a producer and teaching assistant at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. During the session, 15 participants from Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia will gain basic knowledge of media literacy.

The programme will continue in Požega on 18 August, where the participants will develop their creative documentary filmmaking skills through hands-on work. Working in teams and with the support of mentors, they will produce three short documentaries and take part in every stage of production.

The workshop will be led by award-winning director Luka Papić. The participants will also work with film professionals from Serbia and the region – Elena Melloncelli, Milena Đukić, Ivan Čojbašić and Dejan Petrović – as well as peer educators who previously took part in the Teen Doc Workshop.

The films produced during the workshop will be screened in Požega on 24 August, at the closing ceremony of the Interaction Festival. The participants will also serve as members of the Youth Jury, who will watch 15 short documentaries from the competition programme and present the Youth Jury Award for Best Film.

The Teen Doc Workshop is held alongside Interaction’s other programmes – the Short Docs Festival, the Student Film Camp, the Doc Workshop, DocuConnect Balkans and Meet2Talk.

This year’s Teen Doc Workshop is supported by the European Fund for the Balkans (EFB), under the auspices of the Network of European Foundations.
