Punya Krishnan, a film editor based in Bombay, India, commenced her career at Studio Ekesaurus, where her passion for editing burgeoned while crafting behind-the-scenes films and ad cutdowns. Transitioning from assistant director to a film editor’s apprentice, she honed her craft while juggling a full-time role at an ad agency. Her journey escalated as she served as assistant editor on Jayesh Bhai Jordar, her maiden theatrical release under Yash Raj Films. Subsequently, she contributed to The First Act, a documentary for Amazon Prime Studios, delving into the aspirations of young artists. Her breakthrough came with Indrani Mukerjea Story: The Buried Truth, a gripping crime thriller for Netflix, garnering global acclaim. Notably, she contributed to a documentary celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community for Amazon Prime Studios. Currently, she’s immersed in editing a sports documentary for the Women’s Premiere League, showcasing her versatile expertise across genres and platforms.
