After completing a screenwriting course at the Film and Television Institute of India, Supriya Prasad Rauniar directed Portrait of a Willow Woman single-handedly. The film was part of the official selection at the Indian Film Festival of Stuttgart, Germany 2021, Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, Australia 2021, Tasveer South Asian Film Festival, US, etc. She is passionate about storytelling and focuses on heartwarming narratives of human connections, women’s liberation, inclusivity, and empathy. Her debut feature project, The Honeybee Girl was part of the Journey to Europe: Scriptwriting Development Lab organized by the European Union Film Festival in association with the Dharamshala International Film Festival and Cineuropa. It was also part of the Writers Ink Screenwriting Lab. She is also among the top ten finalists of Doc Commune 2022 organized by PSBT India. Currently, she is working as a writer on an upcoming Amazon Prime web series.
