Roya Rabbani is an independent Iranian screenwriter and filmmaker. She holds a B.F.A in film directing from the Art University of Tehran and a Master’s degree in Dramatic Literature from the College of Fine Arts, University of Tehran.

Throughout her career, Roya’s work has been focused on exploring themes of individuality, self-identity, and the experiences of forgotten and marginalized people. She has written several plays and screenplays and has directed a number of short fiction and experimental films.

In recent years, Roya has turned her attention to documentary cinema and has been involved in the creative process and production of several compelling documentary projects. Her first completed documentary film ‘’Stone Roof’’ represents a new milestone in her career.
