PANEL
PANEL 2026
THE ANATOMY OF A GOOD CO-PRODUCTION
Interaction Docs Hub
Saturday, 22 August 2026
11:00 pm
Free Entrance
International co-productions emerge from the encounter of different perspectives and creative sensibilities, but also from the need for strategic partnerships in the development, financing, and distribution of films. They create a space for creative collaboration, exchange of knowledge, and building partnerships that enable stories to reach international funds, festivals, and audiences.
Through an exchange of experiences among film professionals, the panel will explore how successful co-productions are built, how to find the right partners and establish relationships based on trust, while preserving the director’s vision and shaping a film together throughout its journey.
Participants: Iris Elezi, director, producer and curator (Albania), Ilija Tiricovski, producer (North Macedonia), Nevena Milašinović, sales and acquisitions executive at Lightdox (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
Moderator: Ikonija Jeftić, researcher and Meet2Talk producer (Serbia)
The panel is organised as part of the Interaction: DocuConnect Balkans project, co-funded by the Western Balkans Fund and the European Union through the WBF–EU Joint Action.
