Martina has served as the Executive Director of the Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival since 2022. She holds a Master’s degree in Arts Management from the University of Economics in Prague, with a minor in Commercial Communication. During her academic journey, she actively engaged in festival and event production, contributing, for example, as a production assistant at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.

Following her graduation, Martina honed her skills as an event manager for two and a half years. After spending a year in Scotland, she joined the Israeli Embassy in Prague as Head of Cultural Affairs, where she was responsible for presenting Israeli culture in the Czech republic and founded a successful festival of Israeli culture in Prague. After three years at the embassy, Martina transitioned to her current role at the Ji.hlava IDFF, a festival she has been closely associated with since 2018 through various roles in marketing, partnerships, and production.

In addition to her professional achievements, Martina is an active member of a successful Prague-based theatre improv group since 2006.

As Executive Director, Martina oversees the festival’s management and its team, and is responsible for a communication with sponsors, and partner institutions. A key aspect of her role is establishing a functional system for the festival’s sustainability.
