Marko Šantić studied film directing at the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film, and TV in Ljubljana. His short feature student films “Good Luck Nedim” and “The Hole” received many international awards. Šantić’s first feature-length was the TV movie “Seduce Me”, which internationally premiered at the 29th Warsaw Film Festival, where he received Special Mention in 1-2

competition. The film was also a Slovenian submission for the 87th Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 2014. With Sara Hribar, Šantić co-directed a feature film Lada Kamenski, which had an international premiere at the Montreal Film Festival. Wake Me is Šantić’s first solo cinema feature and it premiered at Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.
