Lana Pavkov completed bachelor studies in multimedia directing at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, and then master’s studies in film and TV directing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. The documentary “World Champion” was shown at East Silver Doc in Jihlava and then as part of the East Doc platform. During her studies, she participated in several film workshops, such as the Euro-in-film workshop of Mila Turajlić and Boris Mitić dedicated to the preparation of pitching. Two years later, she won the prize for the best pitch at the Zagreb Film Festival, thereby ensuring the post-production of her master film “19 Schaffarik Street”. The film was supported by the Film Center of Serbia. She was part of the Goethe Institute’s two-year interdisciplinary project – Lie and Theft as Practice, under the mentorship of visual artist Darko Dragičević.
