Synopsys:

Between her traditional Moravian village and the freedom of Berlin, a young filmmaker confronts the expectations she once left behind in order to breathe. While her aunt tightens layers of folk costume around her, conversations at the family table about gender, love, and a hickey on her neck reveal the weight of inherited values. Shot on 8mm and 16mm, Can You Breathe? moves between roots and flight, exploring the fragile space between where we come from and who we become.
