She is an India-based filmmaker. A graduate of the Film and Television Institute of India, Aditi started her film career as a cinematographer and worked on three indie films as a DOP, which won several awards internationally, including a FIPRESCI in 2021. As a director, Aditi pitched her first docu-series “Writing on the Wall” at Doc Edge NZ, Cedoc Market Poland, Dhaka Doc Lab, and AIDC in 2020. She was also selected to be an observer at IDFA and was the semi-finalist at the Sundance Episodic Lab 2020. Aditi’s first independent documentary “Songs of the Unsilenced” was adjudged the best pitch at Doc Edge NZ in 2022 and is currently under production. Aditi was selected by Netflix India for a grant in 2022 to make a short narrative “Home”. In 2023, Aditi was selected at CPH:DOX’s first edition of INTRO:DOX from a full bursary from IEFTA. She is currently also developing a doc-series “Refugee Kitchens” for Discovery India.
