Stone Memory, a Short Documentary Made at the Interaction Camp, Continues Its Successful Festival Journey

The short documentary Stone Memory, made during the jubilee 20th edition of Interaction: Student Film Camp, continues its successful journey at festivals across Europe and Australia.

The film had its world premiere in June 2026 at the Sofia Short Fest, where it received a Special Mention. Screenings at the Serbian festivals Bistre reke and Zemun Fest followed. At Bistre reke, Anand Bansal received the Krivi vir Award for Best Cinematography in the student competition. In September, the film was also screened at the DOCK Festival in Burgas, as part of the festival’s short documentary competition.

In early October, Stone Memory will have its Australian premiere at the Adelaide Independent Film Festival, followed by a screening at the Nordisk Ungdom Filmfestival – NUFF in Tromsø. Its festival journey will continue in November at the Premiers Regards student documentary film festival in Paris.

Stone Memory tells the story of the Memorial Park of Struggle and Victory in Čačak, a monumental work by architect Bogdan Bogdanović. The film explores our relationship with history, collective memory and the forgotten monuments of the former Yugoslavia.

The film was completed in just 18 days during Interaction: Student Film Camp, including filming and post-production, and was produced by the Filmart Independent Film Centre. The camp mentor was Isaac Knights-Washbourn. It was directed by Wolf Lass from Austria, with Anand Bansal from India as director of photography, Axel Bezençon from Switzerland/Singapore as editor, and Vincent Roy from France as sound recordist and sound designer. Dejan Petrović is the producer, Predrag Živković the executive producer, Nina Lazić the production manager, and Srđa Čvorović the local coordinator.
