Director, journalist and producer, Nadia Zouaoui has worked for several media outlets and directed documentaries for Radio Canada, the National Film Board of Canada (NFB), TV5, and Al Jazeera Documentaries.

Her first film, Le voyage de Nadia, about the impact of patriarchy on the women of her village in Algeria, won several awards, including a Gemini Award.

In L’islam de mon enfance, she examines the differences between Islam and fundamentalism, while Fear, Anger & Politics explores the emergence of political Islamophobia in the United States in the aftermath of 9/11.

Through her production company, Les Films NADIAZ Inc., Nadia produces films that immerse us in sensitive themes in order to foster critical thinking and create constructive debates for a better understanding of each other.
