DEBASHISH KUMAR, INDIA
PRODUCER, CINEMATOGRAPHER
Debashish Kumar is an Indian cinematographer, producer, and drone operator with a background in fiction, documentary, and commercial filmmaking. A graduate of the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, he has worked across short films, music videos and documentaries. His documentary work includes Dil Tuta Aashiq, winner of the PSBT COVID-19 Filmmaking Challenge Gold Award for Best Non-Fiction Film.
Deeply interested in visual storytelling, politics, climate-change and ethnographic narratives, Debashish’s work often explores human behavior, culture, and social realities through immersive imagery. He was selected among the “75 Creative Minds of Tomorrow” at the International Film Festival of India by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India.
