INTERACTION: TEEN DOC WORKSHOP 2026 – OPEN CALL!

The Interaction: Teen Doc Workshop is a seven-day educational programme for teenagers aged 14 to 18 from the Western Balkans who want to explore the themes of dialogue, trust, differences, and youth connection in the region through creative documentary film, media literacy and teamwork. With the support of mentors and film professionals, participants will develop ideas and make short documentary films on the theme of dialogue, trust and youth connection. Before meeting in person, participants will have the opportunity to get to know each other and gain basic knowledge of media literacy through two online workshops held in July and August.

This year’s Workshop will be led by prominent film professionals from Serbia and the region: Luka Papić, director; Ikonija Jeftić, producer; Elena Meloncheli, cinematographer and director; Milena Đukić, producer, cultural manager and communications professional; and Dejan Petrović, director. The programme will also include peer educators who are former participants of the programme.

Additionally, participants of the Teen Doc Workshop will take on the role of the Youth Jury of the Interaction Festival.

This year’s edition will be held from 18 to 24 August in Požega (Serbia), simultaneously with several other Interaction programmes – the Short Documentary Film Festival, the Student Film Camp, the Documentary Film Workshop, and the Meet2Talk programme.

Submission deadline: 20 June 2026
