Synopsys:
One filmmaker sets out on a journey to explore ideas around motherhood —- both who her own mother was and what kind of mother she might make herself. Unearthing boxes that have never been opened, this film asks what can you learn about a person via the objects they leave behind? Like the ancient Japanese art of kintsugi, the act of piecing back together all the scattered, jagged, and broken bits of her mother’s life somehow helps her make sense of her own life, but like the act of filmmaking itself, it is a journey that will never feel complete.
