Talks #1 – HUNGER WARD: a case study in humanitarian filmmaking

This session will showcase the 2021 Academy Award® nominated short documentary HUNGER WARD. Following a screening of the film, the director will reveal the strategies used to access the heart of a humanitarian crisis in a conflict zone as well as the nature of dynamic consent in a hospital setting. The session will also reveal the design of the impact campaign created around the film intended to maximize the film’s influence in the real world.
