Tanvi is a filmmaker, editor, and photographer from Mumbai, India. She’s a second year postgraduate student of Film Editing at the Film & Television Institute of India (FTII). While being part of several commercial projects in varying capacities, she also holds a practice in analog filmmaking. She works with analog and motion picture and has experimented with multiple film formats. Her 16mm experimental film How do you love? is a part of Bambaram – an ongoing analog screening programme of films made at the Harkat Lab which has screened at multiple festivals. Tanvi is also a photographer, primarily shooting 35mm celluloid film.She relates to themes of human expression and connection, transience, spaces, emotions, and explore these by combining her love for film, photo, video art, and words among other things. She has most recently directed a short documentary called Mad Girl and is currently editing another short documentary film along with personal photo-based projects.
