From childhood home movies, dance-performance films, and short documentaries on identity, grief, youth, and aging, Jake has lived life through filmmaking. He spent four years as the lead camera person for Dancing Camera LLC, a premier dance film production company in NYC. Before that, he produced and shot for Grammy-winning jazz artist Esperanza Spalding.

Beyond music and dance, Jake developed educational documentary content for The National Book Foundation and Lincoln Center Education. His filmmaking experience extends to teaching, co-leading workshops in the US and India. Currently, he is completing a Joint Master’s in documentary film directing with DOCNOMADS.
